ARN ZETA Plasma Electrolytic Polisher
Industrial plasma electrolytic polisher for automated mirror finishing. Features a 50-ring capacity, 7" touch HMI, 100% metal recovery, and is safe for diamond-set jewelry.
Application
The ARN ZETA represents the cutting edge of plasma electrolytic polishing technology. Specifically designed for high-end jewelry manufacturing, watchmaking, and dental laboratories, it is fully compatible with yellow, white, and rose gold, as well as silver, platinum, palladium, and brass. The system is engineered to replace labor-intensive manual buffing wheels, achieving a flawless mirror finish even in extremely complex geometries such as prongs, internal engravings, and intricate filigree details.
Advantages
The ZETA model excels at surface de-oxidation, effectively removing fire scale and smoothing out "step lines" common in 3D-printed resin castings. A critical economic advantage is its 100% precious metal recovery; all material removed during the process remains suspended in the electrolyte for easy recycling. The process is remarkably gentle on fine details, ensuring that hallmarks remain sharp and legible. Furthermore, the plasma process is safe for diamonds and most hard gemstones, allowing for the polishing of fully set pieces.
Workshop Suitability
With a footprint of approximately 600 x 800 x 1100 mm and a weight of 70 kg, the ARN ZETA serves as a professional post-processing hub for medium-to-large ateliers. It features an integrated extraction port for fume exhaust and an IP54 protection rating, ensuring a clean and safe workspace free from polishing dust and compound residues. The 7" color touchscreen HMI allows for the storage of custom presets for various alloys (14K, 18K, Silver), ensuring perfect consistency across every batch.
Technological Recommendation
To maximize productivity, we recommend optimizing batch sizes (e.g., 20–50 rings per cycle). With a cycle time of just 2 to 10 minutes, the ARN ZETA drastically reduces production lead times compared to traditional methods. Plasma polishing not only cleans the surface but also microscopically hardens it, increasing the jewelry's resistance to future tarnishing and oxidation.
Maintenance / Service
Safety is paramount, featuring an Emergency Stop (E-Stop) and a magnetic lid interlock to prevent accidental exposure. Routine maintenance involves monitoring electrolyte levels and cleaning the suspension system's contacts. 3DFantom provides complete technical support, including staff training, installation, and the supply of specialized ARN electrolytes tailored for plasma technology.
