BlueCast Original Castable Resin

A proven industry standard for precise jewelry casting. Features zero ash content and excellent burnout predictability, ideal for routine workshop production.

Applications

BlueCast Original is a time-tested resin for Direct Investment Casting that has set the benchmark in digital jewelry manufacturing. It is designed for jewelry workshops seeking a reliable material for the mass production of standard models, wedding bands, and components where consistency and clean burnout are essential.

Advantages

The primary advantage of this resin is its predictability during the burnout cycle. The material does not sublimate aggressively, which significantly reduces the risk of internal cracks in the investment mold. It guarantees 0% ash content, eliminating unwanted inclusions in the final metal casting. Models require minimal post-processing, substantially reducing the time spent on manual grinding and polishing.

Workshop Suitability

This product is engineered for seamless integration into any jewelry workshop's workflow. Due to its stability and forgiving nature, it is also suitable for older generations of DLP and LCD printers. It serves as an ideal "entry-level" professional material for workshops transitioning from traditional wax carving to a 3D-printing-based digital workflow.

Technological Recommendation

  • Cleaning: Wash in 90–99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) for 2–3 minutes.

  • Drying: Use compressed air immediately after washing to remove all residual alcohol from the model surface.

  • Curing: Requires UV post-curing (approx. 20 minutes in a standard UV box) to achieve final hardness and casting stability.

  • Burnout: Follow standard burnout schedules for castable plastics; a slow temperature ramp is recommended to ensure smooth material removal.

Maintenance / Service

Store in the original bottle in a cool, dark place (15–25°C). Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. If the resin remains in the tank (VAT) for an extended period, filtration is recommended to prevent pigment settling and ensure consistent print results.
