BlueCast CR3A Castable Resin

Professional castable resin featuring a rapid burnout cycle. Designed for LCD/DLP printers with zero ash content and superior results in precious metal casting.

Applications

BlueCast CR3A is a specifically formulated resin for the jewelry industry, engineered for Direct Investment Casting. It is optimized for use with precious metals and is compatible with a wide range of LCD and DLP 3D printers. Thanks to its molecular structure, it enables the realization of highly detailed jewelry, from delicate rings to complex organic shapes.

Advantages

The material stands out for its printing stability and near-zero thermal expansion, which eliminates the risk of investment mold cracking during the burnout process. CR3A guarantees a clean burnout with no ash or residue, directly improving the surface quality of the casting and reducing the time required for final polishing. The resin exhibits excellent adhesion to the build plate while allowing for the easy removal of finished models.

Workshop Suitability

This resin is the ideal solution for workshops requiring a fast production turnaround. It supports "fast burnout" cycles, allowing for casting just a few hours after the print is completed. The material is sufficiently rigid for mechanical cleaning and handling without the risk of breaking delicate prongs or fine details.

Technological Recommendation

  • Cleaning: Wash in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) for a maximum of 3 minutes.

  • Drying: Use compressed air immediately after washing to dry the model.

  • Curing: Post-curing is generally not required for standard casting; it is only recommended for extremely thin-walled models (max. 5-10 min).

  • Investing: Compatible with standard gypsum-based investment powders for precious metals (e.g., Optima, Satin Cast).

Maintenance / Service

Store in the original bottle at room temperature (18–25 °C). Shake the resin thoroughly for at least 60 seconds before each use. If the resin remains in the tank (VAT) for more than 48 hours without use, we recommend filtering and re-mixing it to prevent pigment separation.
