BlueCast X-Filigree V2 is a technical resin designed for the specific needs of high-precision jewelry manufacturing. It is optimized for printing extremely thin elements, filigree wires, and complex textures that standard castable resins cannot handle. It is fully compatible with high-resolution LCD and DLP printers.

Advantages

The material features exceptional stiffness in the "green state," eliminating deformations of delicate prongs during printing and cleaning. The V2 version introduces improved surface smoothness, minimizing the need for mechanical post-processing of the casting. The resin has near-zero thermal expansion, protecting the investment mold from cracking during the burnout cycle.

This product is intended for jewelry workshops specializing in demanding stone setting and historical metalworking techniques within a modern digital workflow. Thanks to its high-definition precision, it allows for the casting of models that require minimal fitting during assembly.

Technological Recommendation

• Preparation: Pre-heat to 30–40 °C before use to reduce viscosity and ensure better flow into fine details.

• Cleaning: Fast rinse in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA). Do not leave the model in the bath for more than 60 seconds to avoid degradation of fine structures.

• Curing: Requires UV post-curing (approx. 15–30 minutes depending on lamp power) to achieve optimal mechanical properties before investing.

• Casting: Use high-quality investment powders for precious metals (e.g., Kerr Satin Cast or Optima).

Maintenance / Service

Store in the original sealed bottle in a dark place at temperatures between 18–25 °C. Shake thoroughly before use. The lifespan of the resin in the tank (VAT) is approximately 7 days under normal conditions; after this period, we recommend filtering and returning it to the original packaging.
