Application

BlueCast X-WAX is a specialized photopolymer developed for precision investment casting requirements. Due to its high synthetic wax content, it is ideal for producing filigree, stone-in-place settings, and heavy organic pieces. It is fully compatible with monochrome LCD and DLP printers (e.g., Anycubic, Elegoo, Phrozen).

Advantages

This resin exhibits near-zero shrinkage during printing and minimal thermal expansion during the burnout cycle, eliminating the risk of investment investment cracking. It features excellent build plate adhesion and fast polymerization. Prints are rigid yet flexible enough for manual post-processing before casting.

Workshop Suitability

X-WAX is designed for professional goldsmith workshops requiring 100% clean burnout (ashless). It ensures a smooth surface finish on castings, significantly reducing the time required for final mechanical polishing and metal finishing.

Technical Recommendations

For optimal results, use standard gypsum-bonded investments (e.g., Kerr Satin Cast). This resin does not require intensive UV post-curing – after washing in Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and drying, the model is ready for flasking. For thick-walled models, we recommend extending the dwell time at peak temperature by 20%.

Maintenance / Service

Store in the original container at temperatures between 15–25 °C, away from direct sunlight. Shake the bottle vigorously for at least 60 seconds before each use to ensure the homogeneity of the wax particles within the resin.
